Long-term Preservation Services
The Journal of Modern Social Sciences (JMSS) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. To support this commitment, JMSS collaborates with several trusted digital preservation services:
-
CLOCKSS: JMSS is archived within the CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) system, which guarantees permanent and secure access to the journal’s content. CLOCKSS operates as a global network of libraries and institutions to ensure digital preservation.
-
LOCKSS: Through the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) program, JMSS content is preserved in multiple redundant archives across the globe, safeguarding against data loss and ensuring ongoing access for future generations.
-
Internet Archive: JMSS articles are preserved in the Internet Archive, a non-profit digital library that provides free access to a vast collection of digital resources, ensuring long-term accessibility of JMSS publications.
-
PKP PN (Private LOCKSS Network): JMSS also participates in the PKP Preservation Network, specifically designed to support preservation for Open Journal Systems (OJS) publications, providing an additional layer of security for our content.
-
Zenodo: As a part of JMSS’s commitment to open-access and long-term storage, we also deposit articles in Zenodo, an open-access repository that supports research dissemination and ensures data preservation through the CERN infrastructure.
Through these partnerships, JMSS ensures that its content remains secure, accessible, and preserved for the benefit of the academic community and beyond.
