Long-term Preservation Services
The Journal of Current Social Issues Studies (JCSIS) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. To support this commitment, JCSIS collaborates with several trusted digital preservation services:
-
CLOCKSS: JCSIS is archived within the CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) system, which guarantees permanent and secure access to the journal’s content. CLOCKSS operates as a global network of libraries and institutions to ensure digital preservation.
-
LOCKSS: Through the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) program, JCSIS content is preserved in multiple redundant archives across the globe, safeguarding against data loss and ensuring ongoing access for future generations.
-
Internet Archive: JCSIS articles are preserved in the Internet Archive, a non-profit digital library that provides free access to a vast collection of digital resources, ensuring long-term accessibility of JCSIS publications.
-
PKP PN (Private LOCKSS Network): JCSIS also participates in the PKP Preservation Network, specifically designed to support preservation for Open Journal Systems (OJS) publications, providing an additional layer of security for our content.
-
Zenodo: As a part of JCSIS’s commitment to open-access and long-term storage, we also deposit articles in Zenodo, an open-access repository that supports research dissemination and ensures data preservation through the CERN infrastructure.
Through these partnerships, JCSIS ensures that its content remains secure, accessible, and preserved for the benefit of the academic community and beyond.
