Peer Review Process
ATRI Peer Review Process
The Asia Technology Research Institute (ATRI) employs a standardized, highly rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review workflow across all its journals. This comprehensive process adheres strictly to international publishing standards (COPE guidelines) to ensure the validity, originality, and ethical soundness of all published content.
Detailed Review Stages
| Stage | Objectives and Procedures |
|---|---|
| 1. Initial Screening and Triage | The Editorial Office verifies formatting compliance, completeness, and adherence to ethical guidelines. Includes mandatory plagiarism screening. Manuscripts failing these non-academic checks are returned or rejected administratively. |
| 2. Academic Assessment (Desk Rejection) | The Editor-in-Chief or assigned Associate Editor evaluates the manuscript's novelty, scientific significance, and relevance to the journal's scope. If judged insufficient in quality or contribution, a desk rejection is issued without external review. |
| 3. Double-Blind Peer Review | Identifying author information is removed. The manuscript is sent to 2-3 independent expert reviewers. Reviewers assess scientific validity, methodological robustness, and clarity, providing objective and constructive feedback. |
| 4. Final Editorial Decision & Appeals | The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewer recommendations (Accept, Minor/Major Revision, or Reject). Authors receiving a revision must submit a detailed point-by-point response letter. Authors may submit a formal Appeal for procedural errors. |
Review Timelines and Workflow Flowchart
The target time from initial submission to the first decision is typically 4 to 6 weeks. Editors actively monitor deadlines to ensure an efficient publication cycle. The complete workflow is visually represented below:
